Straight-polishing
The visible rough-turning markings caused by the rough-turning process are smoothened on the 2-roller and 3-roller rough-turning plants while dimensional accuracy and straightness are manufactured in line with the customer’s specifications. With the aid of optical measuring systems, the diameter is examined and compared with the customer’s specifications. This is followed by a straightness test and our obligatory 3-point measurement for monitoring concentricity. The measuring results are saved and available at all times in the respective documentation.
Our plants are designed for dimensions ranging from 15 to 170 mm, round. At an aligning pressure of up to 550 tonnes, materials with high apparent yielding points (up to 900 N/mm²) can be straightened for grinding with deviations of less than 0.2 mm/m. Our straightening plants equipped with state-of-the-art technology enable us to comply with maximum customer requirements in terms of straightness, microscopic surface structure and concentricity.
